Thank You, Super Junior

힘들고 지쳐있던 내게
For being my strength
힘이 되줘서
When I was weary
그리고 항상 내옆에 있어줘서
And for always being by my side
이제서야 말하네요
I finally say this now
Thank you
그리고 그대가 있어서
And because of you

- Thank You by Super Junior

I am not ashamed to admit that I became a fan of Super Junior just late last year. I saw their video, "Sorry, Sorry" and instantly fell hopelessly in-love with them. Now, because of that very moment, I am a changed person. I am currently in Korea as a foreign exchange student (and will be here until mid-January), I am studying and will continue to study the Korean language, and I am planning on taking up my masters here. Why? It's all because of those 15 (yes, I consider Henry and Zhou Mi members of Super Junior) beautiful, talented, lovable Korean boys that make up Super Junior.

I am a late fan, that I can never deny, but unlike other early fans who have come and gone, I am here to stay. I don't care if they're bound to go to military soon; they will eventually come back and I will be out here waiting. I don't care if there's a five-year curse among Korean pop groups; my love for them will go on until the end of time. I don't care if some of my friends think I'm nothing but a crazed fangirl; my loyalty to them is strong and no words shall faze me, not even my friends'. I love Super Junior and that's the most important thing. To me, they are most important.

To Super Junior, thank you. When I was crying, you made me laugh. When I felt lonely, you gave me company. When I was sad, you made me realize that happiness is just around the corner. You are not just faces on the TV screen or voices on the radio--you are people whom I cherish with all my heart. I will support you now and in your future endeavors because I cannot bear to see you fade away. You have become a very big part of my life, and for that, I thank you. I thank you, and I love you.

다른 사람 필요 없어 난 그냥 너라고
I don’t need anyone else, it’s only you
다시 한번 물어봐도 난 그냥 너라고
Even if you ask again, there's only you
이미 너는 다른 사랑 했겠지만 (너라고)
Even if you already have another love
놓칠 수가 없어 다시 돌이킬 수 없어 (너라고)
I can't let go of you, I can't turn back around

내 눈빛이 뜨거웠던 순간에 (너라고)
The moment my eyes began to burn
가슴 깊이 못을 박던 순간에 (너라고)
The moment my heart was captured by you
미련없이 바로 너를 선택했어 (너라고)
그래 난 너라고 oh! 난
That's right, it's you

그 누가 누가 뭐래도 나는 상관 없다고
I don't care whatever anyone anyone says
그 누가 누가 욕해도 너만 바라본다고
나 다시 태어난 대도 오직 너 뿐이라고
째깍째깍 시간이 흘러도 oh! 난
Still, still even as time goes by

널 사랑한다 말해도 천 번 만 번 말해도
내 가슴 속 다 불 타고 마른 입술 닳도록
Even if my heart sets on fire and my dry lips wear out
나 다시 태어난 대도 오직 너 뿐이라고
Even if I'm reborn, it will still only be you
째깍째깍 시간이 흘러도
Still, still even as time goes by

Autumn's finally here, especially where I am. Here in 병천 (Byeongcheon), the weather is unusually strange so while it's cold elsewhere in Korea, it's FREEZING cold here. It annoys the hell out of me. Right now I'm wearing a short-sleeved jacket over my t-shirt and the air conditioner is off but it still feels cold. The sun outside isn't doing any good, either. Ugh. Winter, please, please, PLEASE don't come too soon. I still want to live, go to 서울 (Seoul) to see Super Junior, and at least be able to go outside without dying before getting there. Argh.

So anyway, I found out Super Junior's dorm address yesterday and I'm now determined to visit them. Not at their front door, of course, because their dorm is a high-rise apartment surely equipped with a tight security considering that people like the Super Junior members live there. I plan on simply staying outside, holding a banner of some sort, and waiting for them to pass by in their cars or something. I have to do this before winter comes around (though if I do this while it's snowing, Super Junior might take pity on me, LOL). I only have barely three and a half months here so I want to do as much as I can for Super Junior. I don't want to regret not having done anything during my stay here. That would be more painful than actually leaving Korea.

My friends and I spent 추석 (Chuseok) first at a friend's house where we took part in some simple ancestral rites. Then, we ate lots of Korean traditional food. Afterwards, we went to 서울 to go to a Design Festival. Since I'm taking up Fine Arts in the Philippines, I felt as though my major was calling me back when I saw all the creative displays. In addition, I thought about having my postgraduate studies here instead of Japan. I'm still torn between the two countries but I guess it will depend where my heart will lie in the future. If I'm still a die-hard Super Junior fan three years from now (I need one more year to graduate, then 2 years of working before having my Masters), then I'll definitely choose Korea.

Darn, I still have to study Korean. Our Korean language class is being taught in Korean, and our book is 100% Korean, too. Imagine our hardship during class hours. >____________> Even so, I really want to do my best in studying it because I don't want to go back to my country without having learned anything and it delights me so whenever I listen to Korean songs or shows and I understand a few lines or words. I don't expect to be very good at it soon but I want to give it my all anyway. ^^

My Girly Boys + Korean + Subtle Ohmiya

First up, I received my first ever original Arashi CD today!!!!! On the release date itself!!!! xDDDDDDD I feel so happy to have FINALLY shown my fangirl love, by purchasing an actual good! <3 <3 <3  I will save up my money so that I can buy more and more. I'm so happy~~~. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
On a not so related note, my fingernails are blue! Like bright blue! Like Ohno blue! Wheeeee~~!!! :D It's been a while since I painted my nails so.... I plan to buy nail polish in Arashi colors and paint my nails one of each color. Uwaaa~~.

Korean is killing me. I mean we're in the suuuper basic lessons, but the pronunciation and goodness gracious. But I'm really amazed because some of their words match Japanese. For example, "yakusoku" (promise) in Japanese is also "yakusoku" in Korean. And "dai gakusei" (university/college student) is "dae haksang" in Korean. Amazing, eh? :3 However, I'm still having a hard time huhuhu. I want Korean friends.

And have you seen the "My Girl" PV? Have you spotted the ever-so-subtle Ohmiya moments? These are the ones I noticed:
1) Ohno's the one who packs away their "mother's" framed photo, and who puts it back in the end? *cough*NINO*cough*
2) Who looks at Ohno first when he wipes the framed picture before putting it in the box? *cough*NINO*cough*
3) In the boys' bedroom assignments, whose room is right next to Nino's (and across everyone else's)? *cough*OHNO*cough*
4) Who hurries up to run so he can be beside Ohno when Ohno decides to tear up the paper? *cough*NINO*cough*
5) Ohno looks at whom before he rips the paper? *cough*NINO*cough*
I love this PV. <3 <3 <3 <33333333

There. I feel better now. :D

Clockworks + Sexiness + Butlers + More Clockworks

This is so weird.

I mean, I'm the most cheapskate JE fangirl there is. I swear. I am 100% download-dependent. :))))))))))) I don't care if I have the actual CD or the actual magazine because to me, they're all the same. But then, when I heard Arashi's "Tokei Jikake no Umbrella" song, that cheapskate part of temporarily died and I pre-ordered their CD right away. xDDDDDDD Why, whyyyy so sexy, Tokei Jikake-sama!? Seriously, its effect on me is kind of like when I first heard "Cry For You," which until now makes me go completely ga-ga when I hear it. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 And I think it also has the same appeal as "Truth," which is, well, an epic Arashi song. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3333333333

And there's an untitled song in the Regular Edition. Eeeeeee~!!!! I hope November 11 (?) comes around sooner because it will takes days before my order gets delivered (I chose the second-to-the-cheapest shipping method, LOLZ). Aguuuu. And I swear not to listen to any versions before I get my CD so that I can flail over the CD 100% (and hope not to break it in the process)! :)))))))))))

On another note, people! You have to watch "Take Care of the Young Lady" in, or anywhere else for that matter. It's soooooo nice!!! Because of it, I want to have a butler, too! :)))))))))) Uwaa but where will I get a butler as fun and as sweet as Seo Dongchan!? Urgh.

But you know, when I think about the sexy type of Arashi, at the same time, I see them playing Aiba's Board Game and wearing stockings on their heads and making inkprints of their faces. :)))))))))))) Why so perfectly two-faced, Arashi!? To me they're the only JE group who can pull off the two extreme ends of the personality spectrum. :))))))))))) <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

So I translate stuff, right?
Japanese to English and all.

I'm actually planning on translating "5x10" to Filipino, although the start is already very, very weird. :))))))))))))

But the thing is, I realized
that Filipino is a fucked up language. :)))))))))))
I'm not insulting my mother tongue, for crying out loud,
but it's just.....insane.

Basically the sentence structure is very similar to English.
The dog is barking. = Ang aso ay tumatahol.
(Amazingly, every word in those two sentences perfectly fit together HAHAHA)

to say "Ang aso ay tumatahol," is actually not that natural-sounding.
It's better to say, "Tumatahol ang aso."
Translated per word in the same order, that's "Barking a dog."
WTF. The verb comes first. I never really took notice of that before.
I mean, is there any other language that puts the verbs first before anything else?

So weird.

Not all sentences are like that but yeah, when I think about it, around 80-90% of conversations end up in that structure.

LOLZ. It's rather amusing.
And to think that I've been speaking it for more than 20 years. :))))))))))))

And on a slightly different note, translating from Japanese to Filipino is actually easier.
Japanese and English have a HUGE gap,
while a lot of parts regarding the Japanese language directly correspond to parts of the Filipino language.

Although, English translations sound so much better.
For example, in "5x10,"
the line, "Kyasha na gonin de norikomu yureru fune,"
in English it's, "The rocking boat that we five scrawny boys boarded together,"
and in Filipino it's, "Ang umaagoy na barkong sinakyan nating limang mapapayat na lalaki."

Seriously, the term 'scrawny' can't be translated into anything else
except the Filipino term for 'thin.'
It sounds weeeeiiirrrdddd. I'm telling you, it sounds REALLY weird. :)))))))))))))

HAHAHA I'm not even sure if I translated that correctly. Ah well. xDDDDDDD

People Are So Effing SICK

This is yet another complaint about fans fussing over something.

Can you believe.

Aiba and that little girl he's starring with in "My Girl."

Are being paired up.

As in

Why do some humans possess disgusting genes? Really.
